Still in his mid-twenties, this fast maturing performer has established himself as one of Britain’s most exciting vocal talents. The late jazz legend Sir John Dankworth predicted “a very bright future with the possibility of Atila’s name eventually ending up in lights.”
Atila has been described as the new Frank Sinatra and hotly tipped to be discovered in the same way as Jamie Cullum and hoisted to over-night stardom. He combines an extraordinary voice with great showmanship and an ease and poise which might make him equally at home as a Stand Up Comic or After Dinner speaker. His voice has a huge range and his sense of pitch is impeccable. But it is his musical phrasing which seems unusually effortless and compelling. Without guile or affectation his timing and the way he shapes a musical phrase is gripping and profoundly musical. Catch him before everyone else does!
BBC London TV on BBC 1 featured Atila during 2008’s London jazz
week as a talent to watch in 2009. Other supporters have included Malcolm
Laycock, Russell Davies, Alan Titchmarsh and Pete Mitchell at Radio 2. Atila
has also received considerable support from Jazz FM and has recently appeared on The Alan Titchmarsh TV Show, ITV, as part of ‘The peoples Crooner’ Competition.
